|In which I survive my first college illness

Ok, So I realize I again haven't really updated too recently at
all. Such is life I guess. I'm still crazy busy, especially
in the last week, as the quarter winds down and I have to get ready for
8th week saw me hand in my final Reading Cultures Paper, do a Spanish
Presentation, go to work twice (biking in the cold) and go to see
Goblet of Fire at midnight on Thursday night. I'll let you guess
which of those activites was the most fun. I was really impressed
by the new film, especially because I hated the first one, and didn't
see numbers 2 or 3. I'm sort of a purist by book standards, so
the 4th one was also good, even though it cut out a ton from the
books. I guess that's to be expected when the book is 700 pages
Problem was, that upon getting up on Friday morning, I did not feel so
hot after like 4 hours of sleep. I was walking back from my last
class at 1 30 and totally getting all sorts of chills. It was bad
news. I had a fever. Blech. The fever lasted from 1 30, all
through that night, and through the majority of the next day, finally
breaking at 10 PM on Saturday night. Yikes. I thought it
had broken 2 or 3 times before then, but, alas, these were false
alarms. I took lots of drugs and made it through, surviving for
the first time without the caring of my parents right there to take
care of me.
So here I am, Sunday afternoon, trying to finish all my homework and
study for my second math "midterm" (2 weeks before the final) for
tomorrow. The sickness killed my weekend, but at least I didn't
have to skip a bunch of classes.
Also, I AM SOOOO PSYCHED TO BE GOING HOME ON WEDNESDAY! I get to see
most everyone in Rochester! We're gonna party it up on Friday
night (and hopefully Saturday too), and I'm definitely pumped for
Thanksgiving dinner, and then Indian food on Friday night.
Hooooray! Here's hoping I fly out of O'Hare ok too.
Ok, back to Spanish work and Math studying. Wish me luck!
